A Brief Overview/DefinitionTidal Power Overview: Tidal power is a type of hydropower (which is basically water power but in more proper terms) which is created by harvesting the power from the tides and storing the power into a boat/machine and later convert this form of power into a used source of electricity this may be an awesome idea but due to many failed projects and their costly expense many projects fail or are in beta stage this is quite costly due to the fact they run on water and may be hard to recover and how non-commercial this is making it more costly to make them as very few factory’s do they are most likely inefficient and technology will need to be upgraded if we are going to use it internationally. This may become much more popular into the future when we are in more desperate need for electricity that is renewable (able to replenish/stock up again) because our largest source for electricity is coal which is non-renewable.
The Difference: Waves and Tides are 2 different things waves are caused/created by the wind but tides are caused/created by the movement of the earth. Water Power: Similar to tidal power but waves are caused by wind and tides are caused by the earth's movement.More information in this topic is down below. |
